Announcing the Emerging Manager Summit for National Security sponsored by AE Ventures (formerly Boeing HorizonX) and AE Industrial Partners. Applications are open for emerging venture capital and private equity fund managers investing in technologies critical to national security.
The judging of all managers will be conducted by a prominent panel of venture and private equity investors, and domain experts, evaluating each applicant fund manager based on the data furnished in the application. The evaluation process will culminate in award notifications to the top finalists, who will be invited to present onstage at the Emerging Managers Global Summit for National Security.*
All applicant funds will be invited to the Emerging Manager Summit for Global National Security. This initiative is designed to identify and provide credit to global Emerging Managers investing in support of Geopolitical Democracy, as well as broaden the fundraising for managers in this dynamic space, by matching funds with limited partners with a self-identified interested in, and allocation towards, defensetech. Eligibility.
Applications are open to any U.S.-based or international fund (excluding funds from countries designated as countries of concern by the White House under Executive Order 14105).
*Eligible investment sectors largely adhere to The White House critical technologies, with a few elective adjustments. These sectors are broadly inclusive of aerospace and supply chains, advanced manufacturing/advanced materials and robotics, agtech, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, biotechnology, critical mineral tech, cybersecurity, energy, financial technology, quantum and advanced computing, semiconductors and microelectronics, space, wireless communication technologies. Eligibility is largely based on fund number – any fund that has yet to reach a third fund is eligible – yet the judging panel reserves the right to use its discretion in cases where technicalities disqualify funds that would otherwise be considered emerging managers (e.g. nascent or self-funded, first funds that would only be nominally considered as such).
